PROGRAM : B.TECH. (Computer Science and Engineering)

 

Programme Educational Objectives:

 
PEO-1:
To provide core theoretical knowledge and practical exposure in the area of Computer Science & Engineering to help students excel in their professional career, pursuit of higher studies, or their entrepreneurial endeavours.
 
PEO-2:
To enable the students to use existing knowledge and create the new knowledge using multiple disciplines in solving real-life problems.
 
PEO-3:
To develop the professional attitude and ethical competencies, so that the students would be able to face the work-life and personal challenges with utmost grace, and make positive impact on the environment and society.
     
  Programme Outcomes:
 
PO-1:
Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
 
PO-2:
Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
 
PO-3:
Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
 
PO-4:
Conduct investigations of complex problems : Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
 
PO-5:
Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
 
PO-6:
The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
 
PO-7:
Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
 
PO-8:
Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
 
PO-9:
Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
  PO-10: Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the
engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
  PO-11:
Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
 
PO-12:
Life-long learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.
     
  Programme Specific Outcomes:
 
PSO-1:
A student will be able to identify, design, and develop suitable computing components and data structures to process, analyse, and synthesize the available information.
 
PSO-2:
A student will be able to make use of knowledge from multiple disciplines to propose a viable scientific solution for a variety of problems.
     
PROGRAM : M.TECH. (Computer Science and Engineering)
     
Programme Educational Objectives:
PEO-1:
Practice with an expertise in academics, entrepreneurship, design and development in computing technology, or research in a specialized area of computer science and Engineering to pursue higher studies.
PEO-2:
Exhibit analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills by applying research principles for handling real life problems with realistic constraints.
PEO-3:
Ability to communicate the findings or express innovative ideas in an effective manner with an awareness of professional, social and ethical responsibilities.
     
Programme Outcomes:
PO-1:
Ability to apply knowledge of latest computing technologies, skills and state-of-the-art tools of computer science and engineering.
PO-2:
Ability to design and executescientific experiments along with interpretation of results.
PO-3:
Awareness of ongoing research problems in different areas of computer science & engineering.
PO-4:

Competency to identify research gapsand carry out research in the emerging fields.

PO-5:
Ability to develop economically viable software processes and components to meet industrial, social, and research needs within environmental constraints.
PO-6:
Skills to present ideas in an impressive and professional manner.
PO-7:
Ability to work in interdisciplinary and multicultural environment.
PO-8:
Recognize the need to engage in lifelong learning through continuing education and research.
PO-9:
Understanding of professional, social and ethical responsibilities.

PSO-1:
A student will be able to identify and address the gaps in the ongoing technological solutions, andpossess required knowledge and skills to produce socially and economically viable solutions.
PSO-2:
