Civil Engineering Forum-Student Society

The Civil Engineering Forum (CEF), in partnership with the Jaypee Youth Club(JYC) at JUET Guna, strives to provide a distinctive platform for students pursuing civil engineering to thrive in their careers through the "Learn-Network-Prosper" framework. The forum members include undergraduate and postgraduate students and faculty members of the Civil Engineering Department. Through seminars, talks, and events, students can explore various facets of civil engineering, gaining exposure to diverse fields and developing an appreciation for the complexities within the discipline. The objectives of CEF are:

Knowledge Sharing: Facilitating the exchange of information, expertise, and best practices among professionals, academics, and students in the field of civil engineering.
Networking: Providing a platform for individuals in the civil engineering community to connect, build relationships, and expand their professional networks.
Problem-solving: Creating a space where members can discuss challenges, seek advice, and collaborate on solving complex engineering problems.

Professional Development: Offering opportunities for continuous learning, skill development, and staying updated on the latest advancements, technologies, and trends within the civil engineering discipline.
5. Career Enhancement: Assisting members in exploring job opportunities, sharing career advice, and connecting with potential employers or collaborators.
6. Promoting Innovation: Encouraging the sharing of innovative ideas, research findings, and advancements in civil engineering practices to foster progress within the industry.
Community Building: Establishing a sense of community and camaraderie among individuals with a shared interest in civil engineering, fostering a supportive environment.
Educational Outreach: Engaging in outreach activities to promote civil engineering education and awareness and encourage students to pursue careers in the field.
Collaboration: Facilitating collaborative projects, research initiatives, and partnerships among forum members, institutions, and industry stakeholders.
Ethical and Professional Standards: Promoting ethical standards and professional conduct within the civil engineering community.

A Civil Engineering Forum functions as an interactive platform where professionals, academics, and enthusiasts can participate in conversations, exchange knowledge, and share ideas about civil engineering. These platforms facilitate networking and collaborative problem-solving and serve as a means for members to stay abreast of industry trends. Discussions within these forums cover a broad spectrum of topics, spanning structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation, environmental engineering, and construction management. This collaborative environment is instrumental in cultivating a sense of community within the civil engineering field, enabling participants to glean insights from one another's experiences and contribute to the collective advancement of the profession. Additionally, the forum may organize educational tours to sites of civil engineering significance, encompassing construction sites, irrigation works, sanitary works, power plants, and more.

Civil Engineering Forum (CEF) comprises the following executive members for the academic year 2023-24
Faculty Advisor I : Dr. Abhishek Verma (Assistant Professor)
Faculty Advisor II and Treasurer : Mr. Shrinarayan Yadav (Assistant Professor)
